If you’re looking for the right people and right place to start your kitesurfing adventure, you’ve hit the jackpot!
At High Spirits you’ll find courses that will surely meet your needs. We offer courses for beginners as well as advanced training in wave riding, freestyle and hydrofoil.
The training season in Tarifa lasts from March to December, and we offer instruction in Polish, German, English, and Spanish.
You can choose the form that suits you best – whether you’re interested in an individual kitesurfing course, group sessions, or a semi-private course (kitesurfing lessons in a two-person group). We are happy to help you choose the best training option for you. Kitesurfing is not a race; everyone learns at their own pace. Our strength lies in the individual approach to the student – thanks to many years of experience, we know exactly what exercises you need, so that no future situation catches you by surprise. The training program is based on IKO, PZKite, and FAV standards refined to match the characteristics of the spot and your individual needs.
You can be sure that there are no hidden fees waiting for you upon arrival. The prices include insurance, rescue and safety equipment, and all the necessary gear! You are not responsible for any equipment damage during the lessons. All you need is a swimsuit, a water bottle, sunscreen, and the motivation to learn!

WHERE WE TRAIN
We are a mobile school, always going where the conditions are best on any given day. Tarifa has several spots (beaches where kitesurfing can be practiced), and the conditions vary due to the wind direction, wind strength, and the season. There’s no room for bad decisions here. Our base is wherever we park! We will always inform you about the exact meeting point.
The main beaches where training takes place are Los Lances, Los Lances Norte, and Valdevaqueros. Sometimes, with very strong winds, we may take a trip to Palmones or Canos de Meca. (You can read more about the spots here)
Don’t be overwhelmed by too many choices – we will make it for you and send detailed instructions.
LATEST KITESURFING GEAR
We conduct training and rentals using the gear we love to ride ourselves! Every year, we make an effort to test new brands to ensure our choice is the best. We are happy to talk about the kites we use and others you might observe on the beach. After completing the course, we offer free assistance in purchasing the right gear for you!
During the course, you’ll be using beginner-friendly kite models to ensure your progress is as fast as possible. As you gain skills, you’ll have the chance to ride on more advanced kites, as well-maintained and well-chosen equipment is the key to quick and safe learning.
RENTAL
We only rent equipment to individuals who are completely independent kitesurfers, as safety is our absolute priority. Please understand that we may want to assess your upwind riding ability before allowing the use of our equipment, which may involve booking an hour with an instructor to confirm your level. If you are an advanced rider, a photo or video showing your skills may be sufficient.
It is essential to have valid insurance. During the rental, you are 100% responsible for any damage to the equipment.
